Prof. Dr. Zikra Ali Alloush, a faculty member in the Department of Chemistry at the College of Science, University of Mosul, chaired the Master’s thesis defense committee for student Jimen Kanaan Sheikho at the College of Science, University of Zakho. The defense was held on Sunday, 5 April 2026.

The thesis was entitled:

“Biochemical Analysis of Subfatin and Interleukin-40 Levels in Sera of Postmenopausal Women with High Cardiovascular Risk.”

The study aimed to evaluate two novel biomarkers, Interleukin-40 and Subfatin, as potential tools for improving the assessment of cardiovascular and metabolic risks among postmenopausal women.

In recognition of her valuable contribution and the efforts she made in participating in the defense, Prof. Dr. Zikra Ali Alloush was awarded a Letter of Appreciation by the host institution.

This participation reflects the ongoing scientific and academic cooperation among Iraqi universities and highlights the importance of exchanging expertise among faculty members from various disciplines, contributing to the advancement of scientific research and the enhancement of postgraduate education quality.
