National Reviewer Team Visits to Audit Accreditation Eligibility for Chemistry and Physics Programs – College of Science / University of Mosul

The National Reviewer Team, under the National Council for Accreditation of Science Programs, was received today, Monday, April 13, 2026, at the University of Mosul Presidency. The team was welcomed by the President of the University, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, alongside the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim. Following the reception, the team proceeded to the Departments of Chemistry and Physics at the College of Science, accompanied by the Dean, the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Adel Shareef, the Assistant Dean for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Reyan Mazin Faisal, the Head of the Chemistry Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Firas Ahmed Dhannoun, and the Head of the Physics Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Samir Mahmoud Ahmed.
The reviewer team dedicated the first day to conducting a documentary audit. This included reviewing official documents, quality assurance files, and auditing administrative and academic aspects related to the Chemistry and Physics programs, as part of the program accreditation procedures.
The committee is scheduled to complete its remaining tasks over the coming days. This will involve evaluating the academic and technical infrastructure, inspecting laboratories and lecture halls in both departments, and verifying compliance with approved accreditation standards, ahead of issuing final recommendations for completing accreditation requirements.
The College of Science reaffirms its continuous commitment to enhancing the quality of its academic programs and developing a robust educational environment that aligns with national and international standards. This ensures pioneering educational outcomes capable of meeting labor market demands and supporting the scientific journey at the University of Mosul.
