God willing, the Department of Biology, College of Science, University of Mosul, will hold the M.Sc. thesis defense of Ms. Aya Duraid Abdullah Fathi Al-Najjar, entitled:

“Molecular Diagnosis of Microbial Community in Diabetic Foot Injuries”

The thesis aims to conduct a comprehensive molecular diagnostic study of the microbial communities associated with diabetic foot ulcers and injuries, identifying the predominant bacterial and microbial species as well as their associated genetic patterns. The study seeks to contribute to the development of accurate diagnostic approaches that support healthcare services and facilitate the selection of the most appropriate antimicrobial therapies to reduce complications associated with diabetic foot infections.

The defense will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, June 22, 2026, in Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Al-Haj Qasim Hall, Department of Biology.
