Workshop on ” in-depth genetic and biochemical analysis of cancer

The Department of forensic evidence at the Faculty of science at the University of Mosul, as part of the continuing education programs, held a workshop entitled ” in-depth genetic and biochemical analysis of cancer : from gene to molecule to build a sustainable health and research system ” on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in the presence of a number of department teachers.

The workshop was presented by Assistant Professor Dr. Haitham Luqman Shihab, teacher Dr. Shaima Obaid Mustafa, and teacher Dr. mowafak Khalil Hassan from the Department of life sciences.

The workshop aimed to enhance the integrated understanding of the genetic, biochemical and molecular foundations of cancer, and to demonstrate its role in supporting modern applications in molecular diagnostics, precision medicine and medical research, as well as highlighting the importance of integration between different scientific disciplines in building a sustainable health and research system that contributes to supporting innovation and improving the quality of cancer care.

The workshop witnessed fruitful scientific discussions between the lecturers and the attendees, which dealt with the latest developments in the field of genetic and biochemical analysis and its importance in the development of medical research and modern diagnostic applications.
