A scientific research for a teaching and a master’s student from the Faculty of science is published in a journal within the second quarter Q2

In a new scientific achievement added to the research tender register of the Faculty of science, professor Dr. Firas Muhammad Ali, teaching in the Department of physics, and with the participation of Master’s student Asma Radwan, published a scientific research in an international journal classified within the second quarter Q2, with CiteScore reached 3.6 and an impact factor of 2.5. The research was titled: “Cluster decay half-lives in heavy nuclei: comparative study of DFM and CPPM and the development of the Santhosh’s formula” The research deals with the study of the half-lives of cluster decay in heavy nuclei, through a comparison between DFM and CPPM models, as well as the development of Santhosh’s formula, which contributes to enhancing the theoretical understanding of nuclear decay processes and the properties of heavy nuclei. This publication represents an important scientific addition to the research output of the physics department, and reflects the efforts of graduate teachers and students in providing scientific research with specialized studies of a solid academic level. We wish our teachers and graduate students the time of excellence and scientific giving, and more achievements that raise the name of the Faculty of Science and the University of Mosul in international academic forums. We wish our dear students and professors of our college continued success and giving.
