The Department of life sciences at the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul, on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, organized two scientific seminars for graduate students, in the presence of a number of department teachers and graduate students, in the Hall of Professor Dr. Qusay Abdul Qadir Chalabi. The seminars included a presentation of the research of two students from the branch of microbiology, where the master‘s student mofaq Saleh Hussein Aliawi presented a seminar about his thesis tagged: “Characterization of virulence factors in a typical non-mannitol fermenting Staphylococcus aureus strains isolated from clinical specimens” Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Esra Ghanem Hazem Mohammed. Master‘s student Esraa Omar Humaidan Nasser semnara also presented about her tagged thesis: “Comparison of swabs aspirate and biopsy samples for diagnosing bacterial soft tissue infections” Under the supervision of assistant professor Dr. OS Ibrahim Suleiman Nader. The establishment of these seminars comes within the scientific activity of the Department of life sciences, and its keenness to follow up the stages of completion of graduate students ‘ research, and promote scientific discussion and exchange of views And experiences between researchers and teachers.
