My teaching at the Faculty of science publishes two scientific researches in indexed journals within the scope

Dr. Zakaria Abdul Wahid Hamid, a lecturer at the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul, published two scientific papers in international journals indexed within the Scopus repository, classified within the second quarter Q2, with the participation of researchers from Iraqi universities. The first search carried a title: “Improving Image Retrieval Using CNN with PCA and Optimized K-Means Clustering” It was published in the journal Applied Computer Science, classified as Q2 in Scopus, and CiteScore reached 2.8, jointly with Dr. Ali Mohsen Ahmed from Nineveh University, and Dr. Mohsen Hassan Hussein from Karbala University. The research deals with the development of a hybrid model for image retrieval, combining CNN bypass neural networks to extract attributes, PCA technology to reduce their dimensions, and the PSO algorithm to optimize the compilation process using K-Means, which contributes to raising the accuracy of image retrieval and improving the efficiency of dealing with large databases. The second search was titled: “Generating a New S-box Based on Artificial Hummingbird Algorithm (AHA) and Mutation” It was published in the International Journal of Computing and Digital Systems (IJCDS), classified as Q2 in Scopus, and with a CiteScore of 3.8, jointly with Dr. Mahmoud Sobhi Mahmoud from the Faculty of Science – University of Mosul. The research dealt with the development of a new method for generating S-boxes with strong cryptographic properties based on artificial intelligence algorithms, enhancing the security of encryption systems and their resistance to linear and differential analysis attacks. The publication of the two papers represents a new addition to the research output of the Faculty of Science, and reflects the contribution of the faculty’s teachers in the fields of artificial intelligence, image retrieval, information security and encryption. With best wishes to Dr. Zakaria Abdul Wahid Hamid for more success, excellence and scientific giving.
