Within the framework of the University of Mosul’s keenness to develop the educational process and improve the quality of academic outputs, the Faculty of Science received on Thursday, September 3, 2026, professor Dr. Muthanna Sobhi Suleiman, Director of the Department of studies and planning, accompanied by the committee specialized in following up the implementation and development of the Bologna Process in the faculties of the University. The committee was received by the assistant dean for Scientific Affairs, the director of the quality assurance and university performance division, and the director of the studies and Planning Division at the college. The purpose of the visit was to determine the level of preparation and readiness to apply the Bologna track, and the extent to which the approved manuals and procedures correspond to the specified requirements and controls, as the visit included reviewing and auditing a number of aspects, most notably the printed academic manuals and manuals of study materials (Course Manuals), the description of the courses approved according to the system of credit hours (ECTS), files and regulatory documents related to the educational process and mechanisms for keeping them. The visit also witnessed the holding of a thorough discussion session on the development of the track’s executive procedures, during which the committee provided a number of observations and directives that would enhance the quality of academic performance and develop work mechanisms, while praising the efforts exerted by the faculty and academic committees in this field. This visit comes within the efforts of the University of Mosul and the Faculty of Science in following up the application of modern educational systems, enhancing academic quality standards, and developing educational programs in line with the requirements of the Bologna track.
