Workshop on the role of the green incinerator in reducing carbon dioxide emissions

On Wednesday, October 14, 2026, the technological incubator unit at the Faculty of science – Mosul University, in cooperation with the rehabilitation, employment and follow-up unit, the voluntary work unit at the college, and the Sustainable Development Unit at the university presidency, held a workshop entitled “The Role of green Incineration in reducing carbon Dioxide emissions” (the Role of Green Incineration in Reducing Carbon Dioxide Emissions), at the Avicenna Hall in the Department of new and renewable energies. The workshop highlighted the role of green incinerator technologies in improving the efficiency of waste treatment and reducing pollutants, while reviewing the importance of environmentally friendly technologies in reducing emissions and enhancing efforts to confront climate change and achieve sustainable development. The workshop aimed at introducing the role of the green incinerator in reducing environmental pollution, identifying modern technologies that contribute to improving the efficiency of waste incineration and reducing harmful emissions, as well as raising awareness of the importance of sustainable waste management and the possibility of benefiting from the energy resulting from its processing. The workshop also addressed the importance of emission control, compliance with environmental and health standards, and encouraging the use of environmentally friendly technologies to contribute to protecting the environment and reducing the negative effects of pollution. This workshop is part of the activities aimed at promoting environmental awareness, spreading the culture of sustainability, and highlighting the role of green technology in developing innovative solutions to environmental challenges, in a way that supports the University’s orientations towards a more sustainable environment. Towards a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future, the step begins with awareness and green technology.
