Graduate Seminar Held at the College of Science

The Department of Physics at the College of Science, University of Mosul, organized a distinguished graduate seminar on Wednesday, 15 April 2026, attended by a number of faculty members and postgraduate students.

The seminar aimed to support scientific research and strengthen the academic capabilities of postgraduate students by presenting specialized topics that contribute to the development of their research and analytical skills in the field of physics.

The seminar, entitled “The Effect of the Air Gap Between Electrodes on the Hemispherical Energy Analyzer,” was presented by Master’s student Miqdad Nayef Ghaib Hassan, specializing in Physics, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Abdullah Idris Mustafa.

The event witnessed active scientific engagement from the attendees, with productive discussions and an exchange of ideas and expertise. These interactions contributed to a deeper understanding of the topic and helped enhance students’ presentation, communication, and scientific discussion skills.

This academic activity aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4: Quality Education, through supporting postgraduate education and research excellence, and Goal 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by encouraging scientific inquiry and innovation in advanced physics research.
