College of Science Organizes a Holy Qur’an Competition for Its Students in Recitation and Memorization

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the College of Science organized a Holy Qur’an Competition for its students on the twenty-sixth day of the blessed month of Ramadan. The competition featured two main categories: Qur’anic Recitation and Memorization, in a spiritual atmosphere that reflected the spirit of the holy month within the college community.
The competition was supervised by a specialized judging committee comprising:
- Professor Dr. Hanaa Shukr
- Assistant Professor Noam Mohammed Tayeb
- Lecturer Shaimaa Younis
The event witnessed distinguished participation from a group of talented students who demonstrated commendable levels of proficiency in both recitation and memorization. Participants performed remarkably well in a competitive environment characterized by brotherhood, positive interaction, and mutual encouragement.
This activity forms part of a series of cultural and Qur’anic events organized by the College of Science during the holy month of Ramadan, aiming to strengthen students’ connection with the Holy Qur’an and promote spiritual and educational values within the university environment.
