Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Department of Geology and Petroleum at the College of Science organized a scientific workshop entitled “The Annual Evaluation Mechanism According to the Bologna Process Form and Its Comparison with the Traditional Form” on Monday, 2 March 2026, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Khallouk Mohammed Sager, and a number of faculty members. The workshop was held at Martyr Professor Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Hamdani Hall.

The workshop presented a detailed overview of evaluation components, including teaching activity, scientific research, community service, and professional development. It also explained documentation procedures and grade calculation methods according to the approved evaluation forms. The session included interactive discussions on key challenges facing the implementation of the evaluation system and possible solutions to ensure transparency and fairness.

At the conclusion of the workshop, emphasis was placed on the importance of adhering to Bologna Process standards due to their significant role in enhancing the quality of higher education and improving its outcomes in line with international academic standards.
