Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science Organizes a Workshop Entitled “UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and Mechanisms for Achieving Its Objectives”

The Women’s Affairs Committee at the College of Science, in cooperation with the Department of Studies and Planning / Sustainable Development Unit and the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency, is organizing a workshop entitled “UN Security Council Resolution 1325 and Mechanisms for Achieving Its Objectives.”

The workshop will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, 25 February 2026, in the Seminar Hall of the Department of Medical Physics.

The workshop aims to highlight the key provisions of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace, and Security, and to explain the most important mechanisms for implementing its objectives at both the institutional and community levels. It also seeks to promote the role of women in peacebuilding and decision-making processes, while reinforcing the principles of justice and equality.

The workshop will be delivered by:

  3. Lecturer Dr. Hiba Khalil Saeed
  4. Assistant Lecturer Elin Muwaffaq Khalil
