College of Science Participates in Seminar on Soft Skills in Academic Life

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Prof. Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, the University’s Women’s Affairs Unit organized a scientific seminar entitled “Soft Skills in Academic Life” on Sunday, 14 June 2026, at the University Forum Hall, with the participation of female faculty members and Women’s Affairs Committee representatives from various colleges of the University.

The seminar highlighted the importance of soft skills in enhancing academic and professional performance and their role in improving success in the workplace. Key topics included effective communication, teamwork, time management, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

The seminar was delivered by Prof. Dr. Nada Al-Abadi, Director of the Women’s Affairs Department at the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who presented key perspectives on developing personal and professional skills and emphasized their significance in both academic and professional life.

On the sidelines of the seminar, and on behalf of the Dean of the College of Science, Prof. Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, Asst. Lecturer Alin Muwaffaq Khalil, Head of the College’s Women’s Affairs Committee, presented the Distinguished Woman Shield to Prof. Dr. Nada Al-Abadi in recognition of her outstanding efforts and valuable contributions to supporting and empowering women.

The participation of the College of Science reflects its continued commitment to supporting initiatives that promote personal and professional development and strengthen the role of women within the academic community.
