Maintaining Self-Identity and Adapting to Different Cultures

As part of supporting international students and promoting an open and balanced learning environment, Dr. Ahmed Farhan Al-Shammari, a lecturer at the College of Education for Humanities, delivered a distinguished scientific lecture entitled “Maintaining Self-Identity and Adapting to Different Cultures.”

The lecture was directed at international students studying at the University of Mosul within the framework of the “Study in Iraq ” initiative.

The session highlighted the importance of balancing the preservation of personal identity with conscious openness to other cultures, contributing to the development of an academically flexible personality capable of positive interaction in multicultural environments. The lecture also witnessed notable engagement from students, who expressed their strong interest in its themes and its positive impact on their academic and human experience.
