the UNESCO Chair, in cooperation with the Human Rights Division at the University Presidency, the Department of Syriac Language, and the Human Rights Unit at the College, organized a workshop entitled:

“The Role of Education in Safeguarding and Promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage and Its Impact on Rejecting Extremism and Violence.”

The workshop highlighted the importance of education in preserving intangible cultural heritage, promoting authentic human values, and addressing extremism and violence in society. It also discussed mechanisms for fostering peaceful coexistence and building a cohesive society.
