College of Engineering Launches a Humanitarian Initiative to Support Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital

Under the direction of Dean of College of Engineering at University of Mosul, Assistant Professor Dr. Omar Mohammed Hamdoon, and as part of the College’s commitment to social responsibility, humanitarian initiatives, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)—particularly Goal 3 (Good Health and Well-being) and Goal 10 (Reduced Inequalities), College provided a quantity of disposable medical bed sheets to support patients with special needs and help meet some of their essential healthcare requirements on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
As part of this initiative, the medical bed sheets were delivered to Al-Hadbaa Specialized Hospital for Hematology and Bone Marrow Transplantation, in support of the hospital’s ongoing efforts to provide high-quality healthcare services, particularly to patients with the greatest medical needs.
This initiative reflects the College of Engineering’s commitment to utilizing its resources in the service of the community, strengthening cooperation with healthcare institutions, and promoting the values of solidarity, compassion, and humanitarian giving. It also highlights the University of Mosul’s role in making a meaningful contribution to community service alongside its academic and research mission.
