As part of the regular meetings of the Industrial Advisory Board of the Civil ‎Engineering Department, the second meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year was held ‎at the Civil Engineering Department on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. The ‎meeting was chaired by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, Assistant ‎Professor Dr. Baraa Jabbar Mahmood, and attended by the members of the Engineering ‎Industrial Advisory Board.

During the meeting, several key topics were discussed, ‎including: Updating the curriculum to better meet labor market requirements and ‎industry expectations. Enhancing student learning opportunities by integrating ‎theoretical knowledge with practical applications and computer-based tools studied ‎throughout the academic program. Providing training and professional development ‎opportunities for students through strengthened cooperation between educational ‎institutions and relevant governmental organizations.

The participants also emphasized ‎the vital role of the Industrial Advisory Board in enhancing the quality of the ‎educational process and monitoring the implementation of future academic plans. These ‎efforts contribute to improving the academic and professional competencies of students ‎and preparing qualified engineering graduates capable of meeting the requirements of ‎sustainable engineering.‎
