College of Environmental Sciences

Under the direct guidance of the Dean of the College of Environmental Sciences, Professor Dr. Muthanna Jassim Al-Tai, and the supervision of the Head of the Environmental Health Department, Mr. Mohammed Yahya Alawi, and as part of the department’s ongoing efforts to enhance students’ practical skills, first-year students, accompanied by a select group of faculty members, conducted a field visit to the Central Library.

The visit included an introduction to the library and its rich history. Students learned about the information and academic services it offers, how to search for print and electronic resources, and how to utilize these resources in their academic and research projects.

The students also toured the various sections of the library, including the circulation department, the reading room, and the electronic archive.

The visit aimed to enhance students’ skills in using academic resources, develop their information-gathering abilities, and encourage them to utilize the learning environment provided by the library for their studies and research. The visit specifically addressed four of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): Goal 4, Goal 8, Goal 9, and Goal 17.
