The College of Science welcomed the committee of deans of science colleges in Iraqi universities on its second day with an academic program and a visit to the university.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the College of Science at the University of Mosul hosted the second day of a visit by the Committee of Deans of Science Colleges from Iraqi Universities. The committee, comprised of 40 deans from various Iraqi universities, participated in a comprehensive academic program reflecting the university’s prestigious standing and leading role.
The second day included the official meeting of the Committee of Deans within the College of Science. Attendees discussed several important academic topics, including curriculum development, modernization of research laboratories, strengthening quality standards and academic accreditation, and supporting scientific research and the exchange of expertise among universities, all aimed at raising the level of higher education in Iraq.
During the session, the Dean of the College of Science presented the deans with the “Science” shield in recognition of their distinguished contributions and efforts in supporting education and scientific research, in a moment characterized by appreciation and high-level academic cooperation.
Following the ceremony, the deans toured the University of Mosul, where they viewed the modern facilities and closely examined the central library and the university’s grand theater. They affirmed that these facilities reflect the university’s commitment to developing the educational and research environment.
The deans commended the excellent organization and warm welcome extended by the College of Science, emphasizing that this day reflects the University of Mosul’s leading position and strengthens the spirit of cooperation and academic integration among Iraqi universities.
The day concluded with an atmosphere of optimism and appreciation for the efforts made, with the deans affirming that this visit represents a significant step towards enhancing higher education and building a comprehensive scientific environment in Mosul and Iraq.
