Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Women’s Affairs Committee at our college, in cooperation with the University Presidency/Department of Studies and Planning – Sustainable Development Unit, the Women’s Affairs Unit, and the Student Activities Unit at the College of Science, held an awareness activity on Wednesday, October 22, 2025. This activity involved distributing educational brochures as part of the early breast cancer detection awareness campaign under the slogan: “Your health is in your hands… Take the initiative to perform self-examinations.”

This activity was implemented in accordance with the Third National Action Plan for Women, Peace and Security/Protection and Prevention pillar and aims to promote health awareness among the female staff and students of the college, and to activate the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, which relates to good health and well-being.

This campaign coincided with a distinguished visit from the University President, Professor Dr. Wahid Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, who commended these efforts and thanked them for undertaking such initiatives to serve the community.

We appreciate these generous efforts in spreading health awareness and extend our best wishes for continued health and well-being to all.
