In line with the principle of ongoing scientific cooperation between the University of Mosul and the Nineveh Education Directorate, and following the university’s established approach and based on the directives of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the guidance of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, and with the follow-up of the Head of the Medical Physics Department, Dr. Mahmoud Ahmed Mohammed Fakhri, the Medical Physics Department welcomed a group of students and staff from Al-Tahrir Girls’ Preparatory School on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.

The visit began with an introductory presentation about the department and its most prominent specializations and applied fields, including medical imaging, lasers and their medical applications, radiotherapy physics, nuclear medicine, diagnostic radiology, and medical device physics. The visit included a field tour of the department’s scientific laboratories, during which the students observed the equipment and practical experiments conducted there, giving them an opportunity to learn firsthand about the nature of this vital specialization and its importance in the medical field.
