The College of Science welcomes the committee of deans of science colleges in Iraqi universities.

Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and with the supervision and guidance of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the College of Science at the University of Mosul welcomed the delegation of deans of science colleges from Iraqi universities. This visit, the largest of its kind and the first of its kind to be hosted by the college, included 40 deans from various Iraqi universities.
The deans were warmly received by the Dean of the College of Science and members of the organizing committee, who expressed their pride in the College of Science hosting this distinguished academic event. The support of Al-Noor University was also greatly appreciated for its active contribution to the success of the first day’s activities.
Following the reception, the delegation toured the city of Mosul, visiting several of its historical and heritage sites to witness the urban and cultural renaissance the city is experiencing, reflecting a spirit of resilience and renewal after years of challenges. The tour also included a visit to the “Our Home” Cultural Foundation to learn about its activities in preserving Mosul’s heritage and supporting community and cultural initiatives.
The deans praised the development and beauty they witnessed in the city, as well as the excellent organization and warm welcome they received at the College of Science, affirming that Mosul remains a beacon of science, thought, and creativity.
The first day concluded in an atmosphere of cordiality and optimism, with attendees emphasizing that this visit embodies a message of recovery and a new beginning for Mosul, a city that combines a rich history with a renewed commitment to scientific advancement, ensuring its continued prominence as a center of science and culture in Iraq.
