Under the patronage of the President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Science, Professor Dr. Hiyam Adel Ibrahim, the Women’s Affairs Committee, in cooperation with the Women’s Affairs Unit at the University Presidency, organized a panel discussion entitled “Promoting a Culture of Dialogue Among First-Year Students to Build a Safe University Environment” on the morning of Monday, 11 May 2026.

The event was held in the Ibn Sina Hall at the Department of New and Renewable Energies as part of the implementation of the National Strategy for Combating Violence Against Women and Girls 2026.

The discussion witnessed active participation from first-year students and featured lectures delivered by:

• Assistant Lecturer Aline Muwaffaq Khalil
• Assistant Lecturer Hiba Fares Ahmed

The panel aimed to foster the values of constructive dialogue and civilized communication within the university community, while highlighting the role of women in promoting these values. It also sought to contribute to the establishment of a safe, supportive, and stable educational environment for newly enrolled students.
