the supervision of  Professor Dr. Ekhlass Saadallah Ahmed.


This thesis is concerned with applying and improving wavelet methods in solving high-order nonlinear partial differential equations, where the fourth-order nonlinear Kuramoto-Sivashinsky equation was addressed.

The convergence analysis of the wavelet series in the function representation was studied, and the approximate error in the space of the new wavelet series that was derived by proving the convergence theorems for that wavelet.
