The College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul held the guidance workshop entitled “Human Trafficking” on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

It touched on many recommendations to reduce the phenomenon of human trafficking, by spreading awareness in the university community, and ensuring respect and protection of human rights and basic freedoms.

It aimed to define human trafficking and shed light on this phenomenon, which is a crime punishable by Iraqi and international law and is a form of modern slavery. This workshop also presents the causes and consequences of the crime of human trafficking as it is among the most common violations of human rights.
