Discussion of a doctoral thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics – Department of Computer Science entitled: “Intelligent Image Processing Algorithms foe Pavement Road Cracks Detection and Classification”.

A doctoral thesis for the student “Hadher Ibrahim Abd Hassan” was discussed in the discussion hall of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Tuesday 22/4/2025 under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Esraa Muhammad Khader Mahmoud

The thesis dealt with: the problems suffered by the municipality of Mosul in terms of perpetuating the streets and repairing the fractures suffered by these streets by building a smart and advanced system that works to detect and classify these fractures.

The study dealt with: building a database of types of fractures suffered by the roads of the city of Mosul and building a smart and advanced system to detect and classify these fractures.

The study aims to find smart and advanced solutions in detecting fractures suffered by the roads and streets of the city of Mosul by building a smart network that works to detect and classify fractures that helps in the process of sustaining and maintaining streets in a smart manner.
