Holding a continuing education course entitled: “Introduction to Big Data”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, as part of its Continuing Education Program for the academic year 2025-2026, held a course entitled: “Introduction to Big Data.”

In the era of digital transformation, Big Data has become one of the most important strategic resources upon which organizations rely to make smart and effective decisions. This course aims to provide a comprehensive introduction to the concept of Big Data, its fundamental characteristics such as volume, velocity, and variety, in addition to its various sources and the challenges of managing and analyzing it. The course also focuses on introducing the most important Big Data applications in the fields of business, health, education, and artificial intelligence, highlighting the modern tools and technologies used in storing, processing, and analyzing Big Data, thus providing participants with a strong knowledge base to understand this growing field.
