The College of Computer Science and Mathematics is holding an awareness seminar on combating discord and rumors among students.

The University Psychological Counseling Unit at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics held an awareness-raising seminar entitled “Combating Discord and Rumors Among Students and Spreading the Spirit of Coexistence and Tolerance,” as part of its activities aimed at enhancing social and ethical awareness within the university community.
The seminar was presented by Dr. Zahraa Abdul Aziz Taha, Lecturer Enam Ghanem Saeed, and Assistant Lecturer Asmaa Mohammed Suleiman, and was attended by a number of students from the college.
The seminar aimed to educate students about the dangers of discord and rumors and their negative effects on individuals and society, emphasizing the importance of verifying news and not spreading it without evidence, as well as promoting a culture of tolerance and forgiveness and rejecting hatred and disputes.
The seminar also focused on strengthening positive relationships within the educational environment, building a safe and cohesive university atmosphere, and encouraging students to adopt calm dialogue and resolve disputes peacefully, thus contributing to the consolidation of the values of coexistence and social responsibility. The objectives served by the symposium:
