Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics Chairs the National Artificial Intelligence Hackathon Committee

 

Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Al-Bazzaz, Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, chaired the committee for the National Artificial Intelligence Hackathon, launched by the University of Mosul as part of its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week activities. The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Rafal Hassan Hamed, Assistant to the University President for Administrative and Financial Affairs, and saw wide participation from university students.

The hackathon, organized by the Science and Technology Parks Department at the University Presidency, will take place from February 8th to 10th, 2026. Its aim is to develop innovative solutions using artificial intelligence technologies that contribute to improving university services and enhancing students’ innovation and teamwork skills.

The hackathon results are scheduled to be announced on Thursday, and the winning teams will be honored for their outstanding projects, as part of the university’s support for student initiatives and technological innovation.
