Holding a continuing education course entitled: “Understanding Probability Distributions with EasyFit”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, as part of its Continuing Education Program for the academic year 2025-2026, held a course entitled: “Understanding Probability Distributions with EasyFit.”

The course was presented by:

Dr. Zeina Mudhar Yahya

Dr. Zaid Tariq Saleh

Course Objectives:

To understand the basic concepts of probability distributions and their types (discrete and continuous).

To identify the properties of statistical distributions (mean, variance, skewness, kurtosis).

To learn how to select the appropriate data distribution using distribution fitting techniques.

To apply goodness-of-fit tests to evaluate model efficiency.

To use EasyFit software to analyze data, extract results, and interpret them statistically.

Holding the scientific workshop entitled: “The Art of Academic Writing”
Discussion of a Master's thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics - Software Department for the student: Shahd Wissam Abdel Fattah.
