Sumner’s presentation was titled “Types of Eccentric Values ​​in Data”.

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics/Department of Statistics and Informatics held a seminar entitled “Types of Outliers in Data,” presented by Professor Dr. Bashar Abdul Aziz Al-Talib.

The seminar aimed to identify and differentiate between:
1. Extreme Values
2. Influential Observations
3. Outliers
4. Leverage Points (values ​​that pull the model in their direction), which include:
• Good Leverage Points
• Bad Leverage Points. Real-world examples of these values ​​were also presented, supported by graphs and applications using the R software.
