Holding a continuing education course entitled “Brute force Attacks in Cyber Security”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, as part of its Continuing Education Series, held a course entitled “Brute-Force Attacks in Cyber Security.”

Course Objectives:
The course aimed to familiarize participants with the mechanics of brute-force attacks targeting passwords or encryption keys. It helped participants understand how attackers try every possible avenue to gain access to accounts or systems. The course also aimed to highlight vulnerabilities that can be exploited in poorly secured systems. Participants learned how to practically detect and analyze this type of attack.
The course also taught security methods such as using strong passwords and multi-factor authentication techniques. It focused on penetration testing tools used to legally simulate these attacks. Participants gained practical skills in protecting systems and networks from intrusion. The course aimed to raise security awareness and enhance the ability to counter various cyber threats.
