Holding a continuing education course entitled: “Time Series Analysis in MATLAB”

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz,

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics, as part of its Continuing Education Program for the academic year 2025-2026, held a course entitled:

“Time Series Analysis in MATLAB”

1. To enable participants to automatically import and process time series in MATLAB, enabling them to clean data, handle missing values, and transform irregular data into regular time series ready for analysis.

2. To build and estimate autoregressive and ARIMA moving average models and interpret their outputs, allowing participants to identify the best model for their data, evaluate model quality, and verify error assumptions.

3. To make future forecasts and evaluate their accuracy using MATLAB tools, enabling them to generate short- and medium-term forecasts, calculate accuracy metrics such as RMSE and MAPE, and compare the performance of different models.

M.Sc. Dissertation by Student Waleed Abdulazeez Majeed Abdulla
A panel discussion was held entitled "Mathematical Structures in Modern Optimization: From Quadratic to Conic Programming".
