Holding a continuing education course entitled “Studying Chaos in the Sprott-C System”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College organized a course as part of the Continuing Education series for the 2026–2027 academic year, titled: “A Study of Chaos in the Sprott-C System.”
Presented by:
Prof. Dr. Huda Issam Ahmed
Asst. Prof. Dr. Karam Adel Abed
Date: September 20, 2026
The Sprott-C system is considered one of the simplest yet most prominent three-dimensional nonlinear dynamic systems that have revolutionized our understanding of chaotic behavior. Despite its simplicity, the system possesses a unique ability to generate highly complex strange attractors. This course aims to guide participants from a theoretical understanding of chaos—and the extreme sensitivity to initial conditions known as the “Butterfly Effect”—to the practical application of analyzing and modeling complex systems.
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)
This course is committed to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals by enhancing the quality of continuing education (Goal 4) and providing scientific research with the mathematical foundations necessary to innovate advanced engineering and digital technologies (Goal 9).
