A continuing education course titled “Fundamentals of MATLAB” is being held.

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College organized a training course titled “MATLAB Fundamentals” as part of the Continuing Education series for the 2026–2027 academic year.
The course was presented by:
Prof. Dr. Iman Tariq Hamid
Asst. Prof. Dr. Karam Adel Abed
Date: October 4, 2026
The MATLAB environment serves as a cornerstone in academic, research, and engineering circles, owing to its exceptional capability to handle complex mathematical operations and advanced matrix manipulations. The language’s significance lies in providing an integrated platform that combines precise numerical computation, statistical data analysis, and the modeling and simulation of diverse dynamic systems. It is also an indispensable tool for researchers regarding advanced data visualization, facilitating the derivation of results and the accurate, objective interpretation of scientific phenomena. Furthermore, it plays a pivotal role in algorithm development, control system design, and signal processing, thereby bridging the gap between mathematical theories and practical applications. With its extensive software libraries, MATLAB directly contributes to accelerating the pace of scientific research and enhancing the quality of outputs in pioneering academic and engineering projects.
