Distinguished Scientific Achievement: Publication of a Rigorous Research Paper in a Global Journal Indexed in Scopus and Clarivate

As part of the ongoing effort to support scientific advancement and elevate the standard of academic publishing, a research team comprising the following faculty members:

Prof. Dr. Saad Fawzi Al-Azzawi

Prof. Dr. Omar Saber Qasim

Dr. Karam Adel Abed

has achieved a new scientific milestone by publishing an original research paper titled:

“A New Nine-Term, Five-Dimensional Hyperchaotic System with Three Positive Lyapunov Exponents: Color Image Encryption and Electronic Circuit Implementation”

The paper was published on October 9, 2026, in the prestigious journal *Differential Equations and Dynamical Systems*. The journal is ranked in the first quartile (Q1) of the Scopus database and the second quartile (Q2) of the Clarivate database.

Summary of the Scientific Achievement:

The research presents a new five-dimensional hyperchaotic system characterized by three positive Lyapunov exponents. This system was developed by integrating a state-feedback controller and coupling strategies with a three-dimensional chaotic system. The proposed system is distinguished by its relative simplicity and structural economy—consisting of only nine terms—compared to other complex systems currently available.

The study involved a theoretical and numerical analysis of the system’s physical and dynamic properties. Additionally, the system’s electronic circuit was implemented and tested using Multisim simulation software, with outputs verified via an oscilloscope; the results demonstrated perfect alignment with the attractors generated using MATLAB. In conclusion, this system was successfully employed to construct a color image encryption scheme; statistical tests demonstrated its high efficiency and excellent encryption capability for data protection.
