In this thesis, numerical and approximate methods were proposed to solve a nonlinear system of partial differential equations of the inverse problem type to represent the electrical signals of the heart in two and three dimensions, with a study of the effect of parameters on its behavior. The nonlinear system in two dimensions was solved using two methods,  Adomian decomposition method and the variational iteration method in more than one case, and compared with the exact solutions available in special cases to show the accuracy of the proposed methods in solving this type of inverse problems.
