Titled (Developing a Security Model for IoT Services Based on DNA Computing)
In continuation of the scientific research movement and the follow-up and presence of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah
Discussed in the discussion hall of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Sunday 22 – 12 – 2024
PhD thesis (Developing a Security Model for IoT Services Based on DNA Computing) by Saadoun Hussein Abdullah under the supervision of Assis. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Sami Nouri.
The thesis presented by the student dealt with the development of a secure model for IoT services by adopting DNA computing in order to provide a large security framework. An authentication system has also been proposed to secure communication between the communication parties.
The design of the proposed framework went through four proposed phases: in the first phase, data was collected from the proposed IoT devices with a new lightweight authentication scheme and then encrypted this data using the proposed algorithm based on DNA computing, the second phase includes storing, publishing and synchronizing encrypted data to subscribers or to the proposed cloud, and the third phase, represented by the cloud, in which the data was stored securely with an authentication scheme with the fourth phase, which included the application of A mobile with lightweight encryption and authentication algorithms based on DNA features.
The study aims to design and develop a lightweight coding algorithm model for the Internet of Things using DNA properties. With a lightweight authentication model for the Internet of Things.
