The Conjugate Gradient Method is one of the most important algorithms used to solve unconstrained nonlinear functions. It is a method that combines efficiency with rapid convergence, making it an ideal choice among optimization techniques. In the first algorithm, a new conjugate coefficient was derived using an unregulated line search and by leveraging the Taylor series. In the second algorithm, a spectral parameter was introduced into the Conjugate Gradient Method by employing Newton’s condition and the Perry conjugacy condition.Theoretically, both algorithms were proven to satisfy the sufficient descent condition and global convergence under certain assumptions, using the strong Wolfe line search.Practically, the efficiency of the new algorithms was demonstrated through numerical results applied to several test functions in unconstrained optimization. These results are presented in the file located at the end of the thesis and compared with those of standard functions, as shown in the tables included in Chapters Two and Three. The comparison is based on the total number of function evaluations (NOF), the number of iterations (NOI), and CPU time. Additionally, the function results were plotted using the Dolan-More performance profiling tool. The thesis concludes with a discussion of the new findings and provides several suggestions for applying them in future work.
