College of Computer Science and Mathematics: Community and Social Initiatives

The College of Computer Science and Mathematics continues its commitment to fostering strong community ties and serving society through various impactful initiatives.

Collective Iftar for Dormitory Students

During Ramadan, the college hosted a collective iftar (break-fast meal) specifically for students residing in the university dormitories. This initiative aimed to strengthen the bonds of affection and communication among the college’s students, professors, and staff. The event saw the presence of Professor Dr. Waheed Mahmoud Al-Ibrahimi, President of the University of Mosul, along with members of the university council. The Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah Al-Bazzaz, oversaw and monitored the gathering.

This communal iftar sought to enhance relationships within the college family and the university at large, creating moments filled with joy and friendly, productive conversations, truly bringing everyone together as one family.

Visit to “Athar” Foundation

As part of integrating the academic community with service institutions, several faculty members visited the “Athar” Foundation in Mosul. They learned about the foundation’s work mechanism in serving various segments of society, particularly its focus on providing aid to cancer and kidney failure patients, as well as orphans in Nineveh Governorate. This visit highlights the college’s dedication to understanding and supporting local humanitarian efforts.
