College of Computer Science and Mathematics

With a high-profile academic and scientific presence, the doctoral dissertation of researcher Mustafa Raed Najib was discussed at the College of Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Mosul on Monday, August 4, 2025. The dissertation, titled “Improving the New Iterative Method for Solving Fuzzy Fractional Partial Differential Equations,” aimed to develop an improved numerical method using a swarm optimization artificial intelligence algorithm to provide faster and more accurate solutions. This method featured the introduction of a new tuning parameter that controls the time expansion point with high flexibility, accelerating the convergence of solutions and reducing numerical errors.

The discussion was attended by Professor Abdul Rahim Ibrahim Jassim, Assistant President for Academic Affairs; Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, Dean of the College; Dr. Thamer Abdul Amir Al-Kadhimi, former President of Al-Karkh University of Science; and Father Raed Adel Kalo, Head of the Syriac Catholic Churches in Mosul.
