Holding a continuing education course on “Internet of Things Basics and its Applications”

Under the patronage and supervision of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Duha Bashir Abdullah, and as part of the college’s academic activities, the college held a series of continuing education courses for the 2025-2026 academic year. This included a continuing education course titled “Fundamentals of the Internet of Things and its Applications,” starting Sunday, September 24, 2025. The course was delivered by Assistant Professor Ameera Istiqlal Badran and Assistant Professor Ghada Thanoon Younis.
The objective of the course was to explain the Internet of Things (IoT), a digital infrastructure that connects devices and sensors to the internet to enable intelligent data collection, processing, and exchange.
It relies on essential components including sensors, communication technologies, cloud and edge computing platforms, and smart applications.
Its applications are embodied in various sectors such as healthcare, industry, agriculture, smart cities, and smart homes. It contributes to enhancing operational efficiency, supporting data-driven decisions, and achieving higher levels of automation and security.
