Discussion of the Diploma Research in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics -Department of (Computer Science) entitled:

“Applying Recommendation System for Supermarkets Based on Machine Learning Algorithms”

 

supervised by Dr. Omar Muayad Abdullah

 

The thesis addressed designing and building an intelligent recommendation system for supermarket products with the aim of helping users choose the right products quickly and efficiently in light of the large variety of products.

 

The study addressed employing machine learning algorithms, namely the nearest neighbor algorithm and the decision tree algorithm, and analyzing product data and user purchase history to generate accurate recommendations, while comparing the performance of the two algorithms in terms of accuracy and response time.

 

The study aims to improving the shopping experience and increasing user satisfaction by providing effective product recommendations, while evaluating the efficiency of recommendation models using various performance metrics.
