Discussion of the master’s thesis in the College of Computer Science and Mathematics -Department of (software) entitled: Develop a Software Black-Box Testing Tool
supervised by Dr. Nada Ne’mat Salim
The thesis addressed the problem of ensuring software quality by developing an intelligent hybrid framework for efficient test case generation and selection, through integrating traditional black-box testing techniques with swarm intelligence algorithms and artificial neural networks.
The study addressed the limitations of conventional black-box testing methods, such as the excessive growth and redundancy of test cases and their inability to effectively detect faults occurring at decision boundaries, and proposed hybrid and intelligent solutions to overcome these challenges.
The study aims to design and implement an intelligent testing tool that improves the efficiency of test case generation and selection, reduces the number of test cases while maintaining high fault detection capability, and enhances the detection of boundary-related faults to improve overall software quality.
