Conducting a continuing education course titled: Modern English Language Teaching Methods.

Under the patronage of the Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Prof. Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College organized a course titled “Modern English Language Teaching Methods” as part of its Continuing Education series for the 2026–2027 academic year.

Lecturer: Assistant Lecturer Zainab Qusay Al-Oraibi

This course aims to enable participants to distinguish between traditional language teaching methods—such as the Grammar-Translation Method and the Audio-Lingual Method—and modern communicative approaches. It also seeks to foster an understanding of the theoretical foundations that drove the shift from the behaviorist school of thought to the communicative approach, which is grounded in meaning and communicative competence.
