Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital Systems Engineering at College of Engineering, University of Mosul, Held a workshop entitled “Artificial Intelligence and Digital Systems” on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, at Zaha Hadid Hall in Department of Architecture Engineering.

The workshop was delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Tariq Yaseen from Department of Communications and Intelligent Digital SystemsEngineering , and Assist. Prof. Dr. Abbas Oğurönver from Istanbul Aydın University, Türkiye.

The workshop covered a range of topics, including digital transformation, the integration of artificial intelligence with communications engineering, intelligent digital systems, AI applications in signal processing, enhancement of communication networks and cognitive radio systems, cybersecurity, as well as the challenges and future trends of sixth-generation (6G) networks and smart cities.

This workshop forms part of the department’s ongoing efforts to strengthen academic collaboration, exchange scientific expertise, and keep pace with recent advancements in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems. It also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 4 (Quality Education), Goal 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and Goal 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) through scientific cooperation with international universities and academic institutions.
