Joint Carnival of the College of Education for Women and Al-Fatat Sports Club

 

The College of Education for Women at the University of Mosul organized a joint sports carnival with Al-Fatat Sports Club. The event was held as part of efforts to strengthen institutional partnerships and support the Sustainable Development Goals, which promote community cooperation and women’s empowerment.

The carnival was inaugurated in the presence of the Dean of the College of Education for Women, Assistant Professor Dr. Shatha Hazem Korkis, the Dean of the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences, Professor Dr. Nebras Younis, and Ms. Amera Al-Shamma, Director of Al-Fatat Sports Club, along with the Assistant Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs, heads of departments, and many faculty members and students.

The activities of the carnival included a sports marathon in which female students of the college participated alongside players from Al-Fatat Club, as well as a friendly volleyball match between the college team and the club team, which ended with a victory for the College of Education for Women team amid an enthusiastic and encouraging atmosphere.

The carnival also featured the distribution of awards to the winners of the table tennis championship for faculty members, in addition to honoring the students who won the first three places in the free drawing competition, in support of creative talents and in encouragement of excellence.

This carnival reflects the college’s commitment to expanding cooperation with sports and community institutions and to promoting a culture of physical activity and artistic creativity within the university environment. The event was held on Monday, December 29, 2025.
