Under the patronage of the Honorable President of the University of Mosul, Professor Dr. Qusay Kamal Al-Din Al-Ahmadi, and in the presence of the Honorable Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs, Professor Dr. Munir Salem Taha, and under the supervision and presence of the Honorable Mrs. Dean of the College of Computer Science and Mathematics, Professor Dr. Duha Bashir Abdullah, the College of Computer Science and Mathematics held its scientific workshop entitled “Adopting a Path “Bologna in Iraqi universities”
The Bologna Process is a multi-purpose process concerned with establishing a framework that makes qualifications in higher education similar in terms of their certificates and the information available in them, facilitates the process of comparison in university degrees in European Union countries, enables the adoption of similar standards in quality, and helps higher education in employing students and competing globally.
The main objectives of the Bologna Process:

Unifying the academic grading structures of Iraqi universities with universities that adopt the Bologna Pathway to enhance mobility and academic exchange between Iraqi universities and different countries. Achieving compatibility and integration between the study programs and certificates of our universities with the participating countries, in addition to providing greater flexibility for students in choosing courses, specializations and universities.
In terms of sobriety, this path aims to strengthen the reputation of universities and the Iraqi educational system internationally. And develop mechanisms and tools to ensure the quality of educational programs and institutions, to enhance and ensure quality in higher education, as well as to enhance scientific research and develop innovation in educational institutions through international cooperation.

In terms of benefiting students, this path aims to develop students’ skills and enhance their personal and professional capabilities, provide equal opportunities for education and access to higher education for all students, promote continuous learning and training throughout life, as well as enhance education based on the skills and competencies required in the labor market. Achieving justice and parity in higher education.
