PhD thesis and tagged (Framework for Robustness of Implementation for Blockchain-Based Big Data Application Using Container Technology)

Student: Nawar Abdul Ghani Sultan under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Roaa Boutros Boulos

The thesis presented the design and development of a framework for robustness of implementation for a blockchain-based big data application using container technology.

The idea of designing and implementing a new framework to support robustness management and implementation of big data applications and failure recovery approaches for the services provided by Blockchain and the Container Virtualization technologies used was presented. Blockchain technology is adapted for big data applications to achieve scalability through faster query mechanisms and reduce the computational power needed to process data blocks.

The performance of the proposed tyre was evaluated by conducting a number of real vehicle flow data management experiments by considering some important metrics. The results obtained revealed that the developed framework significantly boosted performance in terms of transaction count, block creation time, and full-text search time by improving transaction productivity while reducing block creation and search times. In conclusion, the proposed framework improved processing speed, scalability and reliability and proved to be a viable solution for real-time applications even as data volume increased.
